About Grand Slam Hunts
A “Grand Slam” turkey hunt consists of five (5) sub
species of wild turkeys. The elusive “Osceola” gobbles
far less than other wild turkeys and patience is the key. These
turkeys are found in a specific region of Florida. The Eastern,
most abundant of the wild turkeys are found in various terrains
north and south, we have contacts in Illinois and Missouri. The
Rio turkeys in Texas, the Merriam, a bird of the west inhabit terrains
from prairies to the Rocky Mountains, Montana, Nebraska; Gould’s
are found in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Old Mexico and have
the heaviest average weight of all the subspecies and the Oscillated
also found in Old Mexico.
We are affiliated with various experienced outfitters please click
